I'm giving away a bracelet today on Mrs. B's Blog

I’ve been playing the 31 days of at Mrs. B’s blog this month, where she has been giving away items donated by various wiccans, witches, and pagans every day. I wrote her a few weeks ago, and asked if she needed any more items donated, and she noticed that she had no bracelets being given away. So I was given today, the 25th, as the day I’d give away a bracelet from my shop, Wiccan Magick Shack.

All you need to do is visit her blog and follow the directions in order to be entered into the contest. Good luck! and I look forward to giving away a bracelet to a lucky winner!

Win a year's (6 issues) to The Essential Herbal magazine!

Mrs. B is doing another giveaway today, and this one is for a year's subscription to the Essential Herbal Magazine that is done by the shop Essential Herbal.

This is something I'm pretty interested in, as learning about herbs has always fascinated me. There are so many natural remedies out there to help with illnesses or diseases that traditional medicine downplays, because they'd rather have you spending 100$ on their pills. There sample issue is very informative, so stop on by their shop and check it out. :)

I never knew you could do this with clay!

I love Mrs. B's giveaways on her blog, Confessions of a Pagan Soccer Mom, and today she is giving away a wire and clay wand made by Marie Segal of Art from my Heart. She makes magic creations with clay that are unbelievable! Her free standing shrines that she has here, are works of art. How she gets all the colors of clay...especially when she blends colors, is beyond me. Check out her site, she has some really beautiful items.

My husband and I just finished taking the pictures of my first four wands, and this is the first of the four. All four of them have unique elements, as you'll see as I go along and post them up.

The rune were set going from the grip to the tip in a specific order, and for the following reasons:

  1. EOLH - Protection. When conducting a ritual, the first thing put in place is a sacred circle to protect the castor, so EOLH rune was put first to protect the caster during the ritual.

  2. BEORC - The rune of the Great Mother. After drawing a circle, you normally honor the Goddess (and also the God).So the 2nd rune up the rune for the Goddess.

  3. URUZ. This is the rune of change, or shaping power that brings about manifestation. So we protect, honor the Goddess, then ask for the change we wish to initiate.

  4. EIHAWZ - Very powerful rune of banishing and protection. It also increases power, and helps to remove any obstacles.

  5. THURISAZ - this is the directed cosmic power of defense. It also directs the energies of the runes that come before, giving them an extra umph to get things off the ground.

Running from the grip to the top is a spiral that was cut into the birch bark. This also helps to spiral the energy from the caster up to the point. Finally, an Amethyst point is set on the end and hot glued, then wrapped with purple dyed leather wrapping.

You can see it at my store by clicking here.
